How do you know that animals can't be humiliated? Have many of them taken you into their confidence lately?

People are animals, and can often feel humiliation. Humans, however, as with any trap, often endure temporary discomfort - such as humiliation - to gain ultimate advantage.

A recurring theme in martial arts is the refusal to become drawn into someone else's paradigm. For example, someone may attempt to humiliate me publically: and by following my instinct to retaliate I would merely confirm my embarrassment and humiliation. And *no-one* ever wins a fight.

Ultimately, though, I choose to walk away, and will not allow myself to be defined by someone else's perception.

As they say, "Never argue with a cretin - people might not be able to tell the difference". Following that advice is a classic case of the human mind overcoming animal instinct.Ganeshahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06513361666991051523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3949711547542015501.post-73306616684524443702008-09-22T09:42:00.000+01:002008-09-22T09:42:00.000+01:00No, it's exciting and I get a kick out of it.
